Taylor Swift Trends After Second Straight Chiefs Game With Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift is back at the center of the NFL conversation after making her second consecutive Kansas City Chiefs appearance of the 2026 regular season.
Swift attended the Chiefs’ Sunday Night Football matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at Arrowhead Stadium on September 20, just six days after watching Kansas City open its season against the Denver Broncos.
Her back-to-back appearances are the immediate reason “Taylor Swift” is trending, with the latest game producing another highly shared moment involving her husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift Returns to Arrowhead
Swift was seen in the Kelce family suite during Sunday’s game, where she watched Kelce and the Chiefs face Indianapolis.
The appearance followed her attendance at Kansas City’s season opener on September 14. That game marked Swift’s first Chiefs appearance since she and Kelce married in July.
The Chiefs’ official schedule confirms that the Denver game took place September 14, followed by the Colts matchup on September 20.
That makes the latest appearance notable for a simple reason: Swift has now been present for both of Kansas City’s regular-season games to begin the 2026 campaign.
Travis Kelce Gives Swift Another Viral Moment
The biggest on-field moment involving Swift came in the first quarter.
Kelce caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes, giving the Chiefs a 10-7 lead at the time. It was Kelce’s first touchdown of the 2026 season.
Swift’s reaction quickly became part of the game’s social-media conversation.
Video from the stadium showed Swift celebrating and pointing toward her wedding ring. Multiple reports also said she could be heard referring to Kelce as her husband during the celebration.
The moment gave the latest Taylor Swift trend an additional hook beyond her attendance itself.
Why Taylor Swift Is Trending Now
Swift’s name is trending because her latest Chiefs appearance came almost immediately after her previous one.
She attended Kansas City’s season opener against Denver on September 14 and returned for the Colts game on September 20. The first appearance also drew major attention because she was seated alongside actor Tom Cruise.
The second appearance created a fresh wave of attention because it included Kelce’s first touchdown of the season and Swift’s visible celebration from the suite.
Rather than being an older story about Swift and the Chiefs, the current trend is tied to a new appearance and a new viral game-day moment.
Swift and Kelce’s Chiefs Connection Continues
Swift’s presence at Chiefs games has been a recurring part of NFL and entertainment coverage since her relationship with Kelce became public in 2023.
The couple married in July 2026, making this season the first Chiefs campaign in which Swift has attended games as Kelce’s wife.
Her consecutive appearances at the beginning of the new season have therefore generated renewed interest from both NFL viewers and Swift’s enormous fan base.
