Stellar Blade Bayonetta Collaboration Trailer Drops as Switch 2 Demo Goes Live
Stellar Blade is trending again as SHIFT UP releases a new Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette trailer and makes a playable demo of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version available through the Nintendo eShop.
The timing comes during Tokyo Game Show 2026, where Stellar Blade: Complete Edition is being showcased ahead of its November release. The new trailer puts the spotlight on the crossover content, while the demo gives Switch 2 owners an early opportunity to try the game.
The Switch 2 version is currently scheduled to launch on November 6, 2026, according to SEGA/ATLUS’s Tokyo Game Show listing and current reporting on SHIFT UP’s announcement.
New Stellar Blade Bayonetta Trailer Reveals the Collaboration
The latest video, titled “Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette,” focuses on the crossover between Stellar Blade and Bayonetta.
The collaboration adds four new outfits for protagonist EVE. Three of the looks previously identified are based on Bayonetta, Jeanne and a nun-inspired design, while the fourth outfit had been kept undisclosed. The new vignette provides the latest look at the crossover as SHIFT UP continues its promotion of the Switch 2 release.
The collaboration is not being presented as a new Bayonetta game. Instead, it is additional cosmetic content for Stellar Blade.
The Bayonetta content is also planned for the existing PS5 and PC versions as a free update alongside the Switch 2 release.
Stellar Blade Switch 2 Demo Is Now Available
The other major development is the arrival of a Stellar Blade Switch 2 demo.
SHIFT UP has made the demo available through the Nintendo eShop, giving players a chance to experience the Switch 2 version before the full release. The demo’s arrival is particularly timely because the game is currently being demonstrated at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Reports from players indicate that the demo has appeared in multiple eShop regions, including North America, although availability can vary by region.
For players who have been waiting to see how Stellar Blade translates to Nintendo’s newer hardware, the demo offers a more direct opportunity to test the experience rather than relying only on trailers.
What Is Included in Stellar Blade Complete Edition?
The Nintendo Switch 2 release is called Stellar Blade: Complete Edition.
It includes the main game along with previously released crossover content from NieR: Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, in addition to the new Bayonetta collaboration.
The Switch 2 edition will also support Joy-Con 2 motion controls for selected activities, including activities such as fishing.
A physical edition is also planned, with the game included on the cartridge rather than requiring the full game to be downloaded separately.
Why Stellar Blade Is Trending Now
The keyword “blade” is gaining attention as several new Stellar Blade developments converge on the same day.
The biggest trigger is the combination of the new Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette and the Switch 2 demo becoming playable.
That comes just as Tokyo Game Show 2026 enters its final days. Stellar Blade is being featured at the SEGA/ATLUS area during the September 17–21 event, giving the Switch 2 version additional exposure among attendees and online viewers.
The Switch 2 version was first announced in June, following Stellar Blade’s original PS5 launch in April 2024 and its PC release in June 2025.
Stellar Blade’s Switch 2 Release Date
For U.S. players, Stellar Blade: Complete Edition is scheduled for November 6, 2026, with a listed price of $59.99.
The current release schedule gives Switch 2 players several weeks to try the demo before the full version arrives.
Meanwhile, PS5 and PC players can look forward to the free Bayonetta collaboration update as part of the same November launch window.
For now, the immediate development is the one players can access today: the Switch 2 demo is live, and SHIFT UP has released a fresh look at the Bayonetta crossover.
