Spider-Man: Brand New Day Tops U.K. Box Office Again With $87.4M Total

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Rules the U.K. Box Office Again as The Odyssey Holds Strong

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is showing no signs of slowing down.

Sony’s superhero blockbuster has held onto the No. 1 spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office for a second consecutive week, delivering another massive weekend as audiences continue to turn out for the latest chapter in the Spider-Man franchise.

The movie collected £10.1 million ($13.6 million) in its second frame, pushing its international total to approximately $87.4 million after just 13 days in theaters.

The strong hold gives Spider-Man: Brand New Day another major box-office victory as the summer movie season enters its next phase.

The Odyssey Continues Its Strong Run

Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey remained firmly in second place during its fourth weekend.

The Universal release added another $4.8 million, bringing its U.K. and Ireland running total to $82.6 million.

The film continues to demonstrate impressive staying power, remaining near the top of the chart even after a month in theaters.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey dominating the market, the U.K. box office is increasingly becoming a two-film battle at the top.

Paw Patrol Makes a Dino-Sized Debut

Paramount landed in third place with the wide theatrical debut of Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie.

The animated family adventure opened with approximately $2.2 million, giving Paramount a solid start in the competitive family market.

The film’s dinosaur-themed adventure is expected to benefit from school-holiday audiences and continued demand for animated entertainment.

Toy Story 5 Keeps Climbing

Disney’s Toy Story 5 remained in the top five during its eighth week.

The animated sequel added $848,063, pushing its cumulative total to an impressive $72.5 million.

The result highlights the staying power of the Toy Story franchise, which continues to attract audiences long after its opening weeks.

Universal’s Minions & Monsters rounded out the top five.

Now in its sixth week, the film earned another $557,564, lifting its running total to $21.5 million.

Andre Rieu Concert Beats Several Hollywood Releases

The weekend also produced an unusual box-office success.

Piece Of Magic Entertainment’s Andre Rieu’s 2026 Summer Concert: Viva Maastricht! debuted in sixth place with $671,742 from its event-cinema rollout.

The result demonstrates how concert films and special event screenings continue to carve out a surprisingly strong niche alongside conventional theatrical releases.

Moana Continues Its Journey

Disney’s live-action Moana took seventh place in its fifth weekend.

The movie earned $490,552, bringing its cumulative U.K. and Ireland total to $15.9 million.

The latest adaptation continues to benefit from the recognition and popularity of Disney’s original animated franchise.

New Horror Movies Enter the Chart

Studiocanal’s horror title Ice Cream Man opened in eighth place with $414,256.

Meanwhile, Black Bear’s comedy-drama The Invite added $136,039 in its sixth week, bringing its cumulative total to $5.1 million.

Universal’s long-running horror-romance Obsession completed the top 10.

After 13 weeks in theaters, the film added another $88,242, pushing its total to $26.3 million.

What’s Coming Next?

The U.K. box office is preparing for another crowded theatrical weekend, with several major releases entering the market.

Trafalgar is bringing Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy, directed by Lee Kirk, to more than 100 locations.

Among the major wide releases are Warner Bros.’ sci-fi survival drama End Of Oak Street, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, and True Brit Entertainment’s Sunny Dancer, featuring Bella Ramsey.

A24 is also entering the frame with Tony, a feature centered on the legendary chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain, starring Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas.

More Films Join the Battle

Several other titles are preparing broad theatrical rollouts.

They include:

  • Lady from MetFilm
  • Holy Days from Munro
  • Momo & The Time Thieves from Signature
  • Never Had A Chance from Reelistic Dreams
  • A re-release of Aardman’s animated comedy The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists! from Park Circus

Specialized and international releases will also add variety to the weekend.

Mubi will release Ancestral Visions of the Future, while Zee Studios International is bringing the Tamil-language romantic comedy Hi!

Other releases include Mermaid Beach, Venice-winning drama Songs of Forgotten Trees, and Telugu supernatural fantasy Agadha.

The weekend will conclude with Source Entertainment’s rollout of Chris Atkins’ music documentary James: Getting Away With It, which is scheduled to play in more than 100 locations.

Spider-Man Still Has the Box Office Web

For now, however, the spotlight belongs to Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

With a second straight No. 1 finish and $87.4 million accumulated after 13 days, Sony’s superhero blockbuster is proving that the Spider-Man name remains one of the most powerful brands in modern cinema.

But with The Odyssey still pulling millions in its fourth weekend and a fresh wave of releases arriving, the real question is:

Can Spider-Man make it three weeks at the top?

The U.K. box office is about to find out.
