Slipknot Fans Push Back After Marilyn Manson Named as 2027 Wembley Support Act
Slipknot’s newly announced 2027 Wembley Stadium show is facing backlash from some fans after Marilyn Manson was confirmed as one of the concert’s support acts.
The reaction intensified after Slipknot announced its (sic)est Stadium Tour on September 28, 2026, revealing that the band will headline Wembley Stadium in London on July 3, 2027. Marilyn Manson, Lorna Shore and Hatebreed are listed as the supporting artists for the Wembley date.
The controversy has now become a major part of the conversation surrounding the newly announced show, with some Slipknot fans saying they will not attend or buy tickets because of Manson’s inclusion.
Why Marilyn Manson’s inclusion is causing backlash
The criticism is connected to allegations made against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner.
In 2021, actor Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused Manson of abuse, after which several other women made allegations concerning their experiences with him. Manson has denied the allegations, describing them as false or distorted and maintaining that his intimate relationships were consensual.
The renewed reaction does not represent every Slipknot fan.
Comments collected following the Wembley announcement include fans saying they would not financially support a show featuring Manson. Others criticized the booking while some fans defended the decision and welcomed the combination of the two artists.
That split is important because the backlash is coming from a portion of the fanbase rather than representing a universal response.
What is confirmed about the Wembley show
Slipknot’s Wembley date is scheduled for Saturday, July 3, 2027.
Wembley Stadium lists Slipknot as the headliner and Marilyn Manson, Lorna Shore and Hatebreed as special guests. The venue also identifies the performance as Slipknot’s only UK and European show of the 2027 tour.
Live Nation likewise lists Manson, Lorna Shore and Hatebreed in the support lineup.
The general ticket sale is scheduled for October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m., with a presale beginning October 1.
Slipknot’s 2027 tour is bigger than the Wembley controversy
The Wembley concert is part of a much larger stadium tour running from July through September 2027.
Slipknot has announced additional major dates across North America and South America, with different support acts attached to various shows. Manson is also scheduled to appear on selected South American dates.
The Wembley lineup is therefore not simply a one-off pairing. It is part of a broader touring arrangement involving Manson.
Slipknot and Manson have also shared a touring history. The artists previously announced a joint North American tour in 2016, although the current controversy is centered on Manson’s inclusion in the newly announced 2027 shows.
Why the story is trending now
The immediate trigger is the timing.
Slipknot’s 2027 stadium tour was announced on September 28, and the Wembley lineup immediately placed Manson alongside the band. Within the following days, fan criticism spread across social media and was picked up by music and entertainment outlets.
That has shifted attention from the scale of Slipknot’s first Wembley headline show to a debate over the choice of support act.
For U.S. fans following the controversy, the key point is that the Wembley concert itself has not been canceled or changed according to the current official listings. Wembley and Live Nation continue to list Manson among the support artists.
For now, the confirmed lineup remains in place while the online reaction continues.
