Former Neighbours star Scarlet Vas is expanding her family.
The actress and her husband, Tayo Ricci, have announced they are expecting their second child together — and the couple’s unconventional relationship is once again generating major attention online.
Vas, 31, and Ricci, 29, shared their baby news in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, telling followers:
“We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…”
The couple also shared a series of photos featuring their firstborn child alongside an ultrasound image.
“The doctor called. Apparently we’re having another baby,” they wrote.
Their Unconventional Love Story
Scarlet Vas and Tayo Ricci’s relationship has fascinated and surprised social media users for years.
The pair reportedly met as teenagers through mutual friends and began dating later in life. Their relationship took an unusual turn when their parents later fell in love, making Vas and Ricci step-siblings.
However, the couple has repeatedly clarified that they are not biologically related.
“We’re not blood, though. So it’s fine,” Vas previously explained during an appearance on the UNCENSORED with Mario Adrion podcast.
The pair have reportedly been together for around 11 years and eventually married in Greece in 2023.
From Wedding Bells to Baby No. 2
After tying the knot, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Silva, in 2024.
They announced the arrival of their first child on Christmas morning, calling the newborn their “Christmas miracle.”
“Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived. Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” Vas wrote at the time.
Now, less than two years later, the family is preparing to welcome another baby.
