A new AI tool promising to cut hours of presentation work down to seconds is gaining attention as Intel teams up with ChatPPT to deliver a faster, more secure way to create slides using hybrid AI technology.
For many office workers, building presentations remains a time-consuming task. A study by GfK found that employees spend nearly 20 hours each month creating slides, with a significant portion of that time dedicated just to formatting. That’s the problem ChatPPT is trying to solve.
The AI-powered app allows users to generate complete presentation decks in seconds by simply uploading inputs such as documents, images, speeches, or links. Instead of manually designing slides, the tool handles everything from structure to layout automatically.
Until now, ChatPPT has relied entirely on cloud-based processing. While this approach allows for powerful AI models, it also comes with trade-offs — including higher energy and compute costs, as well as growing concerns around data privacy and security, especially for enterprise users handling sensitive information.
Hybrid AI approach aims to fix cloud limitations
To address these challenges, ChatPPT partnered with Intel to integrate its AI Super Builder V2.8 technology into the platform. The result is a hybrid AI system that splits workloads between the cloud and the user’s local device.
Complex tasks — such as generating large presentation decks — still run in the cloud, while lighter operations like editing fonts, colors, or formatting are handled directly on the user’s PC. This balance reduces dependency on cloud infrastructure while improving performance and responsiveness.
The shift also strengthens data security. By keeping certain processes on-device, sensitive information does not need to be transmitted to external servers, addressing one of the biggest concerns among enterprise customers.
Engineering collaboration drives performance gains
The development of this hybrid system required months of collaboration between Intel engineers and the ChatPPT team. One major challenge was enabling full end-to-end workflows to run locally on a PC — something achieved using Intel’s AI Super Builder framework.
Another challenge involved running multiple AI models simultaneously — including planning, content generation, and traceability — without slowing down the system. To solve this, the teams used OpenVINO optimization tools to compress models and improve processing speed, ensuring smooth performance even on local hardware.
According to ChatPPT CEO Jack Zhou, the integration allows the platform to complete the entire workflow — from content planning to final output — directly on a user’s device when needed.
Lower costs and improved efficiency
The hybrid model is already delivering measurable results. ChatPPT’s Intel AI PC Edition, launched in December, has reduced cloud compute token costs by more than 50%. At the same time, user engagement has increased, with overall usage duration rising by over 30% compared to the cloud-only version.
Intel sees this collaboration as part of a broader shift toward AI-powered PCs. Todd Lewellen, a vice president at Intel, said the partnership demonstrates how combining cloud and local AI can reduce costs while improving user experience and data protection.
Moving toward fully local AI workflows
Looking ahead, ChatPPT plans to push even further toward on-device AI. The company is working to enable document rendering and content creation workflows that run entirely on local machines, eliminating the need for cloud processing in certain scenarios.
This transition could mark a significant shift in how AI tools operate, especially for businesses concerned about privacy and long-term costs. Running AI locally also reduces latency, allowing for faster interactions and real-time edits.
The platform is also expanding its capabilities with multimodal features, including image-text composition and automated chart generation. These additions aim to make presentations more dynamic while reducing manual effort even further.
Expanding into industry-specific solutions
ChatPPT is exploring tailored versions of its platform for specific sectors such as education, finance, and business analytics. These specialized tools could offer customized workflows designed for different professional needs, powered by Intel’s AI infrastructure.
For ChatPPT, the collaboration goes beyond technology. CEO Jack Zhou described Intel as a key partner in accelerating the company’s vision of secure, efficient, and scalable AI-powered content creation.
