Daniel MacPherson and Jessica Dover Reportedly Split After Three Years
Australian actor Daniel MacPherson and Adelaide-based influencer Jessica Dover have reportedly ended their relationship after more than three years together, with the pair said to have separated earlier in 2026.
Neither MacPherson nor Dover has publicly confirmed the split. However, current reports say the former couple have stopped following each other on social media, while photos of them together have disappeared from their respective Instagram accounts.
According to The Advertiser, MacPherson and Dover parted ways sometime earlier this year. Nine.com.au has also reportedly contacted both of them for comment.
The reported breakup marks the end of a relationship that began after the pair met through mutual friends in 2022. MacPherson is based in Sydney, while Dover lives in Adelaide, meaning the couple navigated a long-distance relationship during their time together.
What happened to Daniel MacPherson and Jessica Dover?
The circumstances surrounding the reported split have not been made public.
The couple had previously been open about their relationship, becoming Instagram official in 2023. Dover also spoke warmly about MacPherson in interviews, describing the relationship as something that developed gradually and brought a sense of calm to their lives.
In 2024, MacPherson similarly described his relationship with Dover as an important source of support while discussing the challenges of his career and time spent away from home.
Their last known public appearance together came in April, when they attended events connected with MacPherson’s new film Beast. The film stars MacPherson alongside Russell Crowe, Luke Hemsworth and others and centers on a former MMA champion who is pulled back into the fight world after his brother is injured.
Daniel MacPherson’s focus on Beast
The reported relationship news arrives during a major professional period for MacPherson.
For Beast, the actor underwent extensive physical training to portray former MMA fighter Patton James. MacPherson has said he spent years training in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu and gained around 10 kilograms of muscle for the role.
He also suffered an injury during production.
In an interview discussing the demanding shoot, MacPherson recalled working with George Burgess and said the actor’s strength resulted in an injury to his adductor. MacPherson explained that the physical demands became more difficult as he got older, but he remained committed to making the fight scenes look authentic.
The film, directed by Tyler Atkins and co-written by Russell Crowe and David Frigerio, was released in Australian cinemas in April 2026.
MacPherson’s previous relationship
Before dating Dover, MacPherson was married to fellow actor Zoë Ventoura, whom he met while working on Wild Boys. The couple married in 2015 and share a son, Austin Xavier.
MacPherson and Ventoura announced their separation in 2020.
Dover also has a son from her previous relationship with former AFL player Jared Petrenko. Both MacPherson and Dover had previously spoken about the experience of raising children while maintaining their relationship.
For now, the reason for MacPherson and Dover’s reported separation remains unknown. Unless either party addresses the reports publicly, details about what led to the breakup should be treated as unconfirmed.
