Crunchyroll Trends as The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Arrives and Fall 2026 Anime Slate Takes Over
Crunchyroll is at the center of renewed anime attention on October 2, 2026, as The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 begins its release and the streaming platform moves into one of its busiest stretches of the Fall 2026 anime season.
The timing helps explain why searches for “Crunchyroll” are surging. Season 3 of The Apothecary Diaries is one of the platform’s major October launches, while several other returning series and new anime are arriving across the first weeks of the month.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Starts October 2
The biggest immediate release is The Apothecary Diaries Season 3, which premieres on Crunchyroll on Friday, October 2.
The new season continues the story of Maomao after the rebellion in Li. According to the announced synopsis, Maomao returns to her work as a pharmacist before a strange breakfast leads her into another mystery. Jinshi, meanwhile, faces new responsibilities as the Imperial Brother.
Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the series is part of its Fall 2026 English-dub lineup, giving English-speaking viewers another reason to follow the release.
The premiere is particularly relevant today because viewers searching for Crunchyroll are likely looking for release information, availability and the broader October schedule rather than simply searching for the streaming service itself.
Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 Slate Is Packed
The Apothecary Diaries is only one part of a much larger seasonal rollout.
Crunchyroll announced a Fall 2026 lineup featuring more than 40 anime series, combining returning franchises, new adaptations and continuing shows. The season began in late September and continues through October.
Among the major titles arriving around the start of October are Black Clover Season 2, Firefly Wedding, Magic Knight Rayearth, Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 and The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II.
The schedule also includes newer titles such as FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, Overgeared, The Vermilion Mask and A Tale of the Secret Saint.
Why Crunchyroll Is Trending Now
The timing is the key.
October 2 brings a major returning anime to the platform, while the surrounding days deliver a concentration of additional premieres. Black Clover Season 2 is scheduled for October 3, followed by more new and returning shows during the first half of the month.
That creates a natural spike in searches from viewers trying to find out what’s streaming, when individual episodes arrive and which shows are part of Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 lineup.
The platform also recently announced its Fall 2026 English-dub schedule, adding another layer of interest for U.S. viewers who prefer dubbed anime.
What U.S. Viewers Should Watch This Week
For viewers planning their October watchlist, the opening days are especially busy.
The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 arrives October 2, while Black Clover Season 2 follows October 3. Other titles roll out throughout October, including Firefly Wedding and Magic Knight Rayearth.
Release timing and regional availability can vary by title, so viewers should check the individual Crunchyroll listing for the applicable U.S. schedule.
For now, the combination of a highly anticipated returning series and a large Fall 2026 lineup gives Crunchyroll a fresh burst of attention at exactly the point when October anime releases are accelerating.
