Ciara Shows Off Baby Bump in Bold Junya Watanabe Runway Debut at Paris Fashion Week
The pregnant singer surprised the Paris crowd with a series of daring looks that put her growing bump at the center of the Spring 2027 show.
Ciara Takes Her Pregnancy to the Paris Runway
Ciara brought her maternity style to the runway on Oct. 3, walking in Junya Watanabe’s Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week while proudly showing off her growing baby bump.
The appearance was a surprise fashion moment for the 40-year-old singer, who is expecting her fifth child and fourth with husband Russell Wilson. She stepped onto the runway in a body-hugging plum-purple crop top and matching leggings, with the fitted look leaving part of her bare belly visible.
The sporty base was transformed with Junya Watanabe’s dramatic styling. Ciara added a wide black belt, red pointed heels, a black cap and a khaki-toned trench coat draped over her shoulders.
She later appeared in additional versions of the look, including an eye-catching crystal-covered headpiece and sculptural embellishments that extended dramatically down her body.
The result was less traditional maternity dressing and more in line with the experimental, theatrical aesthetic that has become part of Ciara’s fashion identity.

A Pregnancy She Has Embraced Publicly
Ciara and Wilson announced the pregnancy in September, sharing a playful photo shoot that highlighted her growing family. The singer captioned the announcement, “One more person to love,” while Wilson referred to the baby as “Baby Cinco.”
The couple already share three children: Sienna, Win and Amora. Ciara also has a son, Future, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
Her Paris appearance comes as she has increasingly incorporated pregnancy into her public style. Just days before the runway show, she also drew attention at Vogue World Milano in a fitted black look that highlighted her bump.
The Junya Watanabe Show Made the Bump Part of the Look

Ciara’s runway appearance was notable not simply because she was pregnant, but because the clothing was designed to emphasize rather than conceal her changing silhouette.
Her fitted purple-and-pink athletic-inspired pieces provided the foundation for increasingly elaborate layers and accessories. One of the most dramatic looks featured a crystal-heavy structure that gave the appearance of a chandelier-like sculpture surrounding her.
That approach fits the wider mood of Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2027 season, where designers have continued experimenting with exaggerated silhouettes, exposed skin and theatrical styling.
For Ciara, however, the runway moment also carried a personal significance. She was able to make her pregnancy part of a major fashion appearance without stepping away from the high-energy performance style that has defined much of her career.
The singer’s appearance at Junya Watanabe gives her growing family another memorable fashion-week chapter—and makes clear that her pregnancy is very much part of the style conversation surrounding her right now.
