2026 Emmy Winners: Complete List of Winners From The Pitt, Widow’s Bay and DTF St. Louis
The 2026 Emmy winners are officially in, with The Pitt, Widow’s Bay and DTF St. Louis among the biggest names taking home major awards at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The final ceremony took place Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with Mariska Hargitay hosting the NBC and Peacock broadcast. The Television Academy said the 78th Emmys were spread across three nights — September 5, 6 and 14 — recognizing television from the 2025-26 season.
The search for the 2026 Emmy winners is surging now because the final Primetime ceremony has just concluded, putting the year’s biggest television awards into one results list.
The Pitt Wins Best Drama Again
The Pitt repeated as Outstanding Drama Series, giving the HBO Max medical drama its second consecutive win in the category.
Noah Wyle also repeated his victory as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, winning for his performance as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.
Other major drama winners included Rhea Seehorn of Pluribus, who won lead actress, while Allison Janney won supporting actress for The Diplomat and Tom Pelphrey took supporting actor for Task.
Widow’s Bay Takes Best Comedy
Apple TV+’s Widow’s Bay was the night’s biggest breakout, winning Outstanding Comedy Series.
The series also produced several major acting victories. Matthew Rhys won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, while Kate O’Flynn won supporting actress and Stephen Root won supporting actor. Hiro Murai won comedy directing, and Katie Dippold won comedy writing for the series.
The Television Academy’s results show Widow’s Bay as a major force across the 2026 awards, following its strong showing during the earlier Creative Arts ceremonies.
Jean Smart Makes Emmy History
Jean Smart won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks, extending her remarkable Emmy run.
It was Smart’s fifth consecutive win in the category and her eighth acting Emmy overall. That puts her alongside Cloris Leachman and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the most acting Emmy wins by a performer. Allison Janney also joined that group with her supporting-actress victory.
DTF St. Louis Wins Limited Series
HBO’s DTF St. Louis won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, beating a field that included All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Beef and Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
Matthew Rhys added another major award in the limited-series field, winning Outstanding Lead Actor for Netflix’s The Beast in Me.
That made Rhys one of the defining performers of the night, with victories in both the comedy and limited-series acting categories.
Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Remarkably Bright Creatures.
